The word giclée is French and means 'spray of ink'. A giclée print is accomplished using an inkjet printer with lightfast archival ink, and is printed on the finest acid-free paper. It is specifically designed for the rigorous and precise criteria of fine art collectors and connoisseurs of museum quality, limited edition prints. The process of this printing is so precise, the finished giclée image retains not just the shades and hues the aritst intended, but every nuance of the original image as well.
